PURBECK LIMESTONE

A hard and durable limestone laid down approximately 130 million years ago, quarried and worked today using a combination of traditional skills and modern technology. Products include sawn and riven flags, setts and crazy paving; random walling for garden and retaining walls; dressed walling for cavity work or facing to blockwork; for rockeries, landscaping and water features.

Purbeck Stone Technical data:

Geology sedimentary, Jurassic / Cretaceous. Density 2650kg/m3. Porosity 3%. Skid resistance testing available upon request.

Appearance Colours range through white, white cream, cream, grey greyblue, brown and blue. The stone works is equipped with circular and dimensional sawing, polishing, dressing and splitting facilities.
